My work explores the essence of humanity. What are the stories we tell ourselves? How is the past connected to the present and the future?
I explore these questions by combining the old and the new. I create ancient replicas and artifacts from diffferent cultures and use them as ´canvases´ to explore the connection of their past to our present.
I have been making Bitcoin Art since 2017. Telling the stories of Bitcoin through artifacts from different times and different cultures.
Description: HODLRS, the hardcore believers in Bitcoin. The ones that know Bitcoin can change the system and the world. Never selling, no matter what. A cornerstone in Bitcoins mythology and the source of inspiration for this piece.
The artistic genesis of this work has been a challenging process. As Ariadna, I had to find and pull a thread to find my way; As Jason, I ended up searching for a fleece.. a black fleece…
Trips of hundreds of miles, countless research and conversations with all kinds of people in a far away land…
How do you portray a HODLR?
I looked for something that in its very essence would portray the qualities of the HODLR.
Determined believers.
A tribe that shares a common ideal.
Humble warriors in a battle for a better world.
Strong handed individuals.
And then I found it..
A special garment, worn only in the north-west of Spain and east of Portugal.
Brought to this region by the legions of Augustus in the Cantabrian Wars, worn by monks dedicated to their belief and humble Shepherds dedicated to their flock.
So get comfortable and enjoy the tale of The Fellowship of the Hodlr Cloak.
A garment suited only for the finest defenders of the citadel.
Our story begins centuries ago in the inhospitable North West Spanish highlands…
